Modified bitumen (mod-bit) is still the best choice for high-traffic commercial roofs in Richmond. We torch-apply SBS-modified base and cap sheets over properly primed concrete or approved decking. Two-ply mod-bit systems carry 20-year NDL (No Dollar Limit) warranties through GAF, Firestone, or Johns Manville. NRCA member. We follow the manual.
Gutter Installation
Half-round copper gutters with round downspouts. That's the premium install. We solder joints on-site using 50/50 tin-lead solder. Copper develops a natural patina in Maine's climate within 5-7 years. For aluminum, we use Spectra Metals .027 gauge seamless with Raytec hidden hangers rated to hold 25 lbs per linear foot of ice and debris load.
Roof Inspection
Roof inspections after a storm are free. Always. We document hail hits, wind damage, and any pre-existing issues so your insurance claim is accurate and complete.
Emergency Roof Repair
Emergency roof repairs for active water intrusion follow a strict protocol: tarping with reinforced polyethylene sheeting secured to the roof deck, interior water extraction guidance, and temporary flashing at penetrations. Our Richmond emergency crews carry 20x30 tarps, 2x4 nailer boards, and masonry anchors for various deck types. Permanent repairs are scheduled within 48-72 hours once materials are sourced.
Skylight Installation
